Job Summary

This position is responsible to manage a team to collaborate with marketing leaders globally, across all verticals, HSC and corporate communications to build and manage social media presences for the respective business units. Develop and implement an integrated social media strategy and roadmap to address customers and internal audiences, as well as provide strategic oversight to all current and future syndicated (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn) and niche social media (e.g. DrBicuspid, Dentaltown, Sermo, DVM.com) initiatives across all media channels (e.g. website, mobile, email). 

What you will do

  • Define the Company’s ongoing position on the use of social media/networking.  Present social media strategy to senior management as well as progress against goals.
  • Train internal teams on use and best practices of social media and relevant toolsets (creating or negotiating acquisition of said toolsets when necessary).
  • Integrate with internal stakeholders to understand unique goals, objectives and challenges to optimize processes and communication across the organization.
  • Define the Company’s ongoing position on the use of social media by identifying effective goals and strategies.
  • Optimize investments and manage company relationships with social media marketing, monitoring, management and analytics vendors.
  • Ensure social media experiences and campaigns meet marketing objectives and branding guidelines, protecting the integrity of the Company’s brand and drive sales to profit the business.
  • Manage global integrated marketing team and approval process for official Company presences across social media and blog platforms.
  • Manage social media and marketing programs in the B2B health care space, delivering dynamic online experiences.
  • Manage the development of a social network page, blog and microblog for internal and external communications.
  • Identify and negotiate services for software/systems related to social media management software.
  • Provide ongoing direction to the team as well as development opportunities as needed.
  • Select, develop, and evaluate TSMs to ensure the efficient operation of the department.

Qualifications

Must have:

  • Typically 6 years of increasing responsibility in terms of any applicable professional experience and 1 or more years of management experience.
  • Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline.
  • Experience developing social marketing tactics in B2B environment.
  • Expert in social media monitoring software.
  • Knowledgeable in digital crisis communications.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence social media landscape (e.g., gain followers in social media environment, drive traffic, bolster engagement.
  • Exceptional project management and client/organizational persuasion skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence large organizations without requiring functional control.      
  • Attract, retain, motivate, coach and develop team members for high performance
  • Broad and wide-range of professional and managerial skills with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures
  • Use skills to lead teams to achieve company goals in creative and effective ways
  • Excellent planning/ organizational skills and techniques

The posted range for this position is $100,000-$125,000 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc. This position is eligible for a 10% bonus not reflected in the posted range.
