Job Summary


You will be part of a talented team of software engineers who strive to apply the latest technology trends to provide best in class solutions for our Dentrix Identity and Access Management foundations team. You will be responsible for providing technical leadership, driving architectural decisions, and mentoring junior engineers. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional to make a significant impact on groundbreaking projects that will shape the future of our flagship Dentrix Ascend product.


What You Will Do
  • Lead the design and development of scalable, reliable, and high-performance identity and access management solutions for Dentrix Ascend
  • Craft code that reflects an expert understanding of object-oriented design, refactoring, clean code, clean architecture, and solid engineering principles to drive innovation
  • Follow the Test-Driven Development (TDD) paradigm
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth
  • Conduct code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and enforce best practices to ensure code quality and maintainability
  • Solve complex problems using knowledge, passion, and curiosity 
  • Partner with our DevOps team to build and support CI/CD pipelines

Qualifications

Must Haves
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science preferred or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of experience building backend software with our tech stack
  • Prior as experience as a team or tech lead is preferred
  • Experience implementing single sign-on (SSO) solutions for seamless user authentication across multiple systems and applications
  • Familiarity with identity and access management (IAM) tools such as Okta, Auth0, or AWS IAM, including authentication protocols (e.g., OAuth, SAML)
  • Expert level experience in unit testing
  • Understanding and defining cross-team interdependent roadmaps
  • Experience working in an agile environment utilizing Jira, Confluence, or similar tools
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (in person and remotely)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically while executing tactically
  • Enjoy sharing ideas with, and learning from, other team members 
  • Effectively estimate engineering work within 6–12-month timelines
The posted range for this position is $127,000 - $185,000 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc. This position is eligible for a 15% bonus not reflected in the posted range.
