Job Summary
The Sr Manager, Salesforce Development is responsible for leading the Salesforce team and driving the strategic design, development and implementation of Salesforce solutions within Henry Schein One.  This role is pivotal and highly impactful in ensuring that our Salesforce platform is optimized to support our business needs, while delivering a seamless experience for our internal teams and customers. 

What You Will Do
  • Lead and manage the Salesforce development and administration team by providing guidance, mentorship, and professional growth opportunities
  • Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of custom Salesforce solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and best practices
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance, Onboarding, and Customer Service to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Drive the implementation of the strategic roadmap for Salesforce development, identifying opportunities for optimization, automation, and innovation
  • Ensure the integrity, security, and scalability of the Salesforce platform, implementing best practices in data management, security, and compliance
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and opportunities
  • Stay current with Salesforce updates, new features, and industry trends to ensure our platform remains at the cutting edge
  • Lead the evaluation and integration of third-party tools and applications with Salesforce to enhance functionality and user experience
  • Develop and enforce configuration and coding standards, documentation, and quality assurance processes to ensure a high level of code quality and system reliability
  • Plan, prioritize, and manage the Salesforce development lifecycle, including release management and change control processes

Travel/Physical Demands
  • Travel typically less than 10%

Qualifications

What You Will Have
  • 10+ years of experience working with an enterprise Salesforce ecosystem
  • 3+ years of people management experience – leading and mentoring developers and administrators of varying experience for high performance
  • Deep technical expertise in Salesforce architecture across Sales and Service Cloud
  • Proven track record of delivering complex Salesforce projects on time and with high quality
  • Excellent presentation and public speaking skills
  • Effective technical leadership and cross-team collaboration
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to influence, build relationships, negotiate, and manage conflict
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Outstanding decision making, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Nice to Haves
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in a related field
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer and/or Salesforce Certified Application Architect
  • Expertise in CPQ and Billing modules

The posted range for this position is $110,000 - $170,000 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc. This position is eligible for a bonus target not reflected in the range.
