Job Summary
The Business Systems Data Architect at Henry Schein One, a leading dental SaaS company, will collaborate with business system developers and product managers to design data systems that support business system development, ensuring that necessary database features and modifications enable cross-system functionality.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with business systems and product teams to define, validate, and enforce data quality requirements, ensuring data changes and new features meet accuracy, completeness, and consistency standards across releases.
  • Establish and maintain data quality controls and audit processes across integrated systems to ensure data aligns with business rules, application requirements, and reporting needs.
  • Review data models, transformations, and usage patterns across teams to identify data quality risks, reduce redundancy, and prevent inconsistent or conflicting data implementations across products.
  • Partner with third-party vendors to assess, validate, and monitor the quality, integrity, and reliability of externally sourced data and integrated solutions.
  • Evaluate new technologies and software products from a data quality, auditability, and governance perspective to determine their suitability for use within company business systems.
  • Support data audits, investigations, and remediation efforts, contributing to special projects and other duties as required to improve overall data trust and reliability.

Qualifications

What You Will Have
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in business systems analysis/administration and a minimum of 3 years in business systems architecture. 
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce data structures (standard and custom objects, relationships, record types) from a data analysis and governance perspective.
  • Proficiency navigating SQL schemas, tables, views, and relationships to support enterprise reporting and analytics.
  • Ability to quickly understand and document cross‑system data relationships and lineage.
  • Advanced use of SOQL/SQL to analyze, validate, and audit Salesforce data across related objects, including aggregates and anomaly detection.
  • Experience extracting and analyzing NetSuite data via saved searches, exports, or warehouse representations.
  • Advanced ability to derive and design technical specifications from general product requirements and specs.
  • Advanced ability to implement from technical specifications.
  • Problem solving skills, diagnosing, finding and testing solutions.
  • Ability to create and perform unit tests.
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under high pressure.
  • Work well independently as well as in a team.
Nice to Haves
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in a SaaS/software environment
  • Salesforce certifications (Salesforce Certified Administrator, etc.)
  • Experience with Salesforce Billing and CPQ
The posted range for this position is $132,000 - $150,000 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc. This position is eligible for a bonus target not reflected in the range.
