Job Summary

This position is responsible for oversight of the Henry Schein One family of brands, which span the world of dental software from practice management to revenue cycle management to patient experience to analytics to clinical decision support to IT support and services. This is a new role at Henry Schein One with the opportunity to drive forward our brand strategy and positioning, create consistency and structure across all our brands and to partner collaboratively with many stakeholders to drive effective brand messaging. Scope includes responsibility for defining the global corporate brands, including brand development, brand statements, brand positioning, new brands and potential brand acquisitions. 

What you will do

  • Brand Statements and Positioning - Define detailed positioning of any existing or new corporate brand to ensure clear understanding of brands value proposition, positioning relative to benchmark competitive brands, packaging and design elements, and guidelines on proper price position of the brand.   In collaboration with the CMO, Director of Communications and Head of Creative, own and defend these brands to ensure a consistent global brand with a clear value proposition to both customers and internal sales/marketing/services/product team members.
  • Manage the overall Henry Schein One brand and assets, including vision, brand pillars, values, tone of voice
  • Brand Trademarks - Develop appropriate and impactful sub-brands and manage trademark process in association with Henry Schein legal teams.   Ensure naming conventions have universal appeal.
  • Packaging - Manage brand packaging strategy and design elements, including decisions related to languages and changes required for regulatory compliance, but in a manner that is aligned with brand positioning statements and general packaging guidelines. Develop clear guidelines for downstream designers to follow.  Ensure such guidelines remain compliant with broader company design guidelines.
  • Brand Perception and Affinity – track and measure brand performance, perception, and affinity, making recommendations around brand portfolio rationalization and architecture
  • Evangelism – Evangelize the Henry Schein One and product brands across the organization – driving engagement and consistency
  • Brand Architecture – create our brand architecture and strategy

Qualifications

Must have:

  • Typically, 8 or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in terms of any applicable professional experience. 
  • Typically, a bachelor’s degree or global equivalent in related discipline.
  • Brand expertise in Software as a service (SAAS) products and services required. 
  • Knowledgeable in healthcare products and services.
  • Advanced brand management skills with demonstrated ability to create, launch and manage successful global product brands
  • Experience leading brand management for global brands, particularly within a portfolio of brands
  • Understand, interpret, and act on financial information and data that contributes to business results and profitability
  • Strong research skills with ability to develop, implement and interrupt voice of customer research on brand and product insights
  • Content development, business process planning and marketplace assessment
  • Requires creativity, conceptualizing, project management and collaboration skills in a matrix environment
  • Ability to plan and manage successful projects; understand available resources, develop timeline, budget, assign tasks and areas of responsibility
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills and techniques
  • Ability to lead virtual teams
  • Excellent understanding of industry practices
  • Strong proficiency with tools, systems, and procedures

Nice to have:

The posted range for this position is $90,000-$140,000 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc. This position is eligible for a 12.5% bonus not reflected in the posted range.
