Job Summary
The VP, Accounting and Finance – HS One is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the company’s global close-to-report and FP&A teams, with a focus on delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, effective planning and analysis, and strong financial governance. This role provides direction and general oversight across key finance functions including close-to-report, financial planning and analysis, and accounting operations. The VP leads and supports a high-performing team encompassing accounting, international finance, and financial planning groups, ensuring alignment with corporate goals, compliance with regulatory requirements and continuous improvement of financial processes. This role collaborates closely with executive leadership to drive financial performance and support decision making. This position will be responsible for management of all global Close to Report, and Financial Planning & Analysis activities performed by; US Executive Director, Accounting, UK Executive Director, International Finance, and US Senior Director, Financial Planning & Analysis.  
What you will do
  • Function as business partner to the HS One CFO and CEO to ensure financial performance is in line with budgets and forecasts; developing improvement plans as needed.
  • Responsible for oversight of global HS One accounting (monthly, quarterly, and annual close-to-report end-to-end process), Financial Planning & Analysis (long-term and annual budgeting as well as monthly forecasting and analyses processes).
  • Responsible for global management of reporting for HS One financial performance and providing management timely and accurate information to support business decisions.
  • Responsible for coordination of the monthly forecasting with full understanding of business strategy / commercial model and trends in collaboration with various business teams; participate in regular Business Reviews with Management.
  • Responsible for coordination of identification and implementation of opportunities to improve profitability.
  • Responsible for overseeing Tax, Treasury, Financial Operations approvals.
  • Responsible for oversight of SOX, Internal and External Audit activities.
  • Liaison with various Corporate Henry Schein functions as a representative of HS One.
  • Provide management and support on all HS One acquisitions, including financial modeling, overseeing due diligence, and coordinating financial integration in coordination with the Project Management Office team.
  • Responsible for optimization of financial operations / processes for HS One driving best practices / synergies.
  • Provide global leadership and guidance to the Accounting & Finance leadership of HS One; promoting a culture of high performance across the team.
  • Assists in the development of key performance measures and reporting on performance relating to those measures.
  • Development, reporting, and ongoing maintenance of strategic metrics (dashboard and other reporting)
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required.

  • Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments.
Travel/Physical Demands
  • Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.
Qualifications

Must have:
  • 15+ years of progressive management experience with a minimum of 5 years at Executive level finance position
  • Public/private accounting.
  • Experience in a US multinational corporation.
  • Experience in mergers, acquisitions, and business integrations
  • PC skills required, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Domo.
  • Systems skills required, HFM (Hyperion Financial Management), Oracle PBCS (Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service) Oracle Cloud EPM (Enterprise Performance Management), NetSuite, and Dynamics 365 Business Central.
Nice to have:
  • CPA preferred.
The posted range for this position is $227,468 - $312,769 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc. This position is eligible for a target bonus not reflected in the posted range.
